There is no restriction on the number of people attending, but voting is restricted as follows:

Each club is entitled to one voting delegate, in addition to the club representative and other members presently serving on the Section Board of Directors. Delegates must be registered with Skate Canada as members of a club.

Club Reps: Skate Canada PEI requires each Club to confirm it will have an attendee attending, and identify its voting delegate and whether they will attend in person or virtually, by April 20, 2026. This advance knowledge is to confirm that quorum requirements for the AGM will be met and, if they cannot be met, we will send out a new date and time.

Voting at the AGM will be conducted by a show of hands. In-person delegates will vote by raising their hand, and virtual delegates will vote by raising their hand using Zoom or by unmuting when requested. Proxy voting is not permitted.

The official nomination and nominating acceptance form you will find enclosed is for those officers of the Section Executive that will be filled at the AGM in accordance with the By-Laws of Skate Canada PEI. These include: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors-at-large. Committee chairpeople will be appointed from elected directors after the AGM. Please bring nomination papers to the attention of your members. Completed nomination papers are to be emailed to the Section Office (skatecanadapei@gmail.com) by noon on April 27, 2026.

The 113th Annual General Meeting of Skate Canada will be held online on Saturday, May 23, 2026, beginning at 11:00 Eastern Time (ET). This meeting will be open to registered Members and observers. Each club is entitled to one delegate to vote during the Skate Canada Annual Meeting and must declare their intention to attend and vote in advance through Skate Canada’s online system. Coaches also have voting privileges and may participate in accordance with Skate Canada requirements.
